February 21, 2017–  The ULI Baltimore Young Leaders Group hosted a construction tour of ZOM’s first Baltimore City project, the Banner Hill Apartments. Chris Love of ZOM provided a tour of the 349-unit Banner Hill Apartments project, currently under construction in Baltimore’s Otterbein neighborhood. Love provided an overview of the interesting processes the developer has navigated to get the project completed, including demolishing a former hospital, expanding an existing underground parking garage and rebuilding a communal plaza above the garage. On Thursday, January 19th, ULI Baltimore hosted our monthly “Content Before Cocktails” event at the recently opened R.House. The $12 million project, Seawall Development Company’s latest development in Remington, is a new style of food hall in a 50,000-square-foot historic warehouse just a block north of Remington Row. New Report Asserts Transit-Oriented Development Provides Fiscal Benefits for Local Governments

Transit-Oriented Development Product Council today released a new report, Fiscal Impacts of Transit-Oriented Development Projects. The study of nearly 10,000 TOD and nonTOD apartment units within the Baltimore-Washington, D.C. metropolitan region concluded that transit-oriented development (TOD) is a responsible fiscal choice for local governments and can save them money. ULI Baltimore Fall Bus Tour

On Friday November 4, 2016, ULI Baltimore members boarded a bus to begin touring prominent developments in the Baltimore region. The tour began at City Garage with a presentation from Steve Siegal, EVP Sagamore Development Company and Demian Costa, Managing Partner of Sagamore Ventures. The speakers shared a vision of bringing young start-up companies to City Garage and The Foundry by providing adequate manufacturing space and specialized equipment to tenants.
