Content Before Cocktails: Highland Haus Apartments
Join ULI Baltimore as we hear about and tour the soon-to-be-completed Highland Haus Apartments in Highlandtown.
Highland Haus is a new six-story apartment building on the site of the former Haussner’s Restaurant. Vacant for 17 years, Garver Development acquired the site in 2015 and teamed up with Taylor Properties in 2016 to deliver the project. Haussner’s was razed to make way for this new 80,000 square foot building.
Highland Haus includes 65 market-rate apartments, structured parking, and about 800 square feet of retail. Amenities include a Sky Lounge for the residents, two common decks, a rooftop dog walking area, gym, and bike storage. Most of the apartments include a private balcony, and all of them feature quartz counters, ceiling fans, and washer/dryers.
Just three blocks from Patterson Park, one block from the Creative Alliance and across the street from Canton, this project is having a transformative effect on the Highlandtown neighborhood. Since starting construction, a CrossFit gym operator committed to a lease across the street, and various other projects are underway in the surrounding area.
