YLG Panel Discussion: Construction Budget Recap

img_7400March 21, 2017– ULI Baltimore Young Leaders Group hosted a breakfast and panel discussion at the Baltimore Development Corporation, who graciously provided the event space. The goal was to provide our young leaders with the opportunity to learn from peers and colleagues on the topic of budgets within the industry. There was a well-balanced panel of industry professionals to answer the moderator’s questions and discuss past experiences and knowledge gained over time.

The moderator, Kristian Spannhake of the Shelter Group, lead the panel with well-constructed questions and suggested topics, which resulted in plenty of information for the attendees. As you can see there was a great mix of professionals from the construction industry that deal with budgets on a regular basis. We were able to provide a starting point for the Banker/Owner all the way down the line to Sub-Contractors. We can’t thank Kristian and the entire panel enough for their time and knowledge shared with all the attendees. The event concluded with a brief Q & A from the attending young leaders.

We would like to thank our program panelists:
Jerrel Duffy, Assistant Vice President, M&T Bank
Denise Verdieck, Construction Loan Admin, M&T Bank
Paul Evenson, Senior Associate, BCT Architects
John Renner, Vice President, Cross Street Partners
Mark Weisner, SVP of Preconstruction, Bozzuto
Ted Nisson, Manager of Engineering Services, The Poole & Kent Corporation
