The ULI Baltimore District Council is now accepting applications for the 2018 WaveMaker Awards. Projects must be located within the following Maryland counties: Allegheny, Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Baltimore City, Caroline, Carroll, Cecil, Dorchester, Fredrick, Garrett, Harford, Howard, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Somerset, Talbot, Washington, Wicomico, or Worcester. YLG Giving Back: Adelaide Bentley Park Beautification

On Saturday, June 2nd, 15 volunteers from ULI’s Young Leaders Group gathered at Adelaide Bentley Park in Towson, MD to participate in a day of Giving Back. In partnership with Blue Water Baltimore, ULI assisted with the beautification and restoration of a small park that had recently been designated a land trust. The park benefits a small community where a lot of the residents are elderly and thus not as able to help with maintenance. Tour & Tales of the Port of Baltimore

PROLOGIS SCHOLARSHIP: WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP INITIATIVE

What The mission of the Women’s Leadership Initiative is to raise the visibility and number of women leaders in ULI and the real estate industry. Prologis and WLI award scholarships to participate in the Fall Meeting to female members of ULI. On Saturday, May 12th, the ULI Baltimore Young Leaders hosted another successful bike tour focusing on the Tradepoint Atlantic site and nearby historic properties. Content Before Cocktails: The Nelson Kohl

On Thursday, April 12th, ULI Baltimore hosted our monthly Content Before Cocktails event at the Nelson Kohl Apartment Building, the first newly constructed market-rate apartment building in Station North. This was another sold-out event with more than 85 registered attendees. The new eight-story modern structure replaces a vacant parking lot located across the street from Penn Station. With 103 apartments and two commercial spaces (a gallery and a Milk & Honey café), the Nelson Kohl will continue Station North’s renaissance. On April 16th, ULI Baltimore’s Young Leaders Group hosted a signature speaker event for all ULI members featuring Ellen Dunham-Jones. Ellen led an engaging presentation highlighting current trends affecting the viability of suburban shopping centers and the quality of life challenges sprawl has presented over time.
