Emerging Trends in Real Estate: Outlook 2018
ULI Baltimore presents its annual real estate trends and forecast meeting, featuring
insights from leading experts both nationally and locally. The event will again feature a presentation on the Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2018 report – a publication from PwC and ULI – as well as a session on the outlook for Baltimore area real estate, including a panel of leading area real estate investors and experts.
Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2018, 4:00-4:30PM
Emerging Trends in Real Estate is a trends and forecast publication with a 38-year history and is the most highly regarded and widely-read forecast report in the real estate industry. Emerging Trends in Real Estate 2018, undertaken jointly by PwC and ULI, provides an outlook on U.S. Investment and development trends, real estate, finance and capital markets, property sectors, metropolitan areas, and other real estate issues. The report draws on formal and informal surveys of real estate executives, investors, developers and market experts around the U.S. including survey responses from over 1,500 real estate executives and personal interview with over 350 industry leaders. Survey results relating to our local market will be included in the presentation.
Moderator: Anita Kramer, Vice President of the ULI Center for Capital Markets and Real Estate. Anita Kramer is the vice president of the ULI Center for Capital Markets and
Real Estate. She writes the monthly U.S. Real Estate Business Barometer and directs both the annual China City Survey and the Emerging Trends Asia Pacific report. She is currently developing ULI’s quarterly Metro Area Real Estate Business Barometer, as well as a quarterly survey of leading real estate economists.
She joined ULI as senior director of Retail and Mixed-Use Development, directing research, education, and programs in that area. She also was responsible for the annual Dollars & Cents of Shopping Centers; the Retail Development Handbook; Retail Opens Up!: The Shape of Today’s Open-Air Centers; and Residential Over Retail: How to Make It Work. Kramer co-produced ULI’s annual Reinventing Retail conference in Beverly Hills as well.
Prior to joining ULI eight years ago, Kramer was a consultant for 28 years, performing economic and financial analyses for both private and public clients involved in development and land-use strategies. She founded Anita Kramer & Associates in 1992, following her position as vice president of the Natelson Company in Los Angeles.
Kramer holds a master’s in city and regional planning from Harvard University, where she specialized in housing and community development. She received her B.A. cum laude in economics and urban studies from the University of Rochester.
