The ULI Americas Young Leaders Group (YLG) Steering Committee is seeking members to get involved in subcommittees for the FY 2023 program year. Our subcommittees meet regularly to plan events, programs, and initiatives that further the mission of ULI and meaningfully contribute to the industry and the region. Committee participation is also an important avenue for expanding your network and fostering industry relationships.

FY23 Committee applications are open and are due August 1. Join the ULI Americas YLG for a Meet & Greet to learn more about committee opportunities and how to get involved with ULI at the Americas level.

    Caleb Sheldon

    Hawmai Development

I'm in a small group of Native Hawaiians in commercial real estate, and we all dream of returning home one day to build a better Hawai'i. I started my career out of college as a Chinese Language Analyst in the US Air Force, and when my contract ended in 2014, there was a significant amount of Chinese investment in real estate development in the United States, and I was able to secure a job on a development capital markets team. Since then, I worked at Lendlease in development and acquisitions, and acquired an $830m P3 with the City and County of San Francisco, and entered into a JV with Google. I then moved to Washington DC, and worked for the Mayor's office project managing city land sales and development sites. I then began working as a consultant and cowboy developer before landing at Ditto, the largest coliving owner-operator-developer in the mid-Atlantic. I'm currently working as a development manager at a mixed-use West Coast developer covering West Coast markets.
