A Letter To Our Members Regarding Systemic Racism and Inequality
A letter from ULI Baltimore regarding systemic racism and and inequality.
June 22, 2020
Moseley Architects is pleased to announce the completion of Bathhouse Square in Pigtown, a quintessentially-quirky and diverse Baltimore neighborhood. This small but significant project designed for SAA | EVI consists of two formerly vacant historic properties- a fire station built in 1872, and the Bathhouse Square No. 2, a Renaissance Revival-style bath house built in 1902. This portion of the block is now a mixed-use development consisting of a 1,700-square-foot cafe focusing on locally-sourced fare, and eight mid-market apartments. Bathhouse Square is designed to succeed as a stand-alone project, but it also fits into the broader vision of the surrounding community. Completion of the Bathhouse Square project complements several other Washington Boulevard establishments such as the Suspended Brewing Company and the Mobtown Ballroom. Stabilization of this midpoint encourages investments and redevelopment in either direction, knitting together Pigtown along the Washington Boulevard corridor.
